Diverse Events CIC has been fortunate enough to receive a grant from the Asda Foundation‘s “Bringing Communities Back Together” fund which has the mission to “Transform Communities and Improve Lives”.
We used this funding (topped up by Plymouth Octopus Project‘s £250 a pop) to purchase event resources, including two 3m x 3m gazebos, and some sound equipment to better support our community events, and the artists that attend them.
With Diverse Events CIC supporting such a diverse number of communities and community groups it does not generally ‘fit’ into funding bids, as it supports such a broad range of projects. This funding ensures that we no longer need to hire these items at each event, so we can focus on spending money on our core aim to bring people together, primarily by running public events.
Directly, these grants will benefit the community musicians, indirectly the grant will benefit thousands of visitors to the event.
Thank you ASDA Foundation and thank you POP!
