We have been semi-successful in our application to run silent discos through Saltash!
We had initially planned for involvement with various community groups in Saltash, across various locations (silent disco under the lit up Cornish Cross at night, anyone?!), unfortunately we were only semi-successful with our funding bid. The bid will now fund one silent disco (although we are throwing in a second AND lots of activities!).
The first silent disco will be held on the Saturday at the Saltash May Fair Youth Village in Victoria Gardens, from 10.30am – 1.30pm.
The second silent disco will be held on the Sunday at the Saltash May Fair, in Longstone Park, from 2.15pm – 3.00pm.

There will also be a number of ‘silent’ activities, such as Yoga, Dance Fit, and Pilates.

We invite you to join us at the Silent Disco, where you’ll find three “channels” of different flavoured music at your fingertips – or, ears, I guess.
You might be thinking dancing next to others with headphones could be isolating and slight bizarre, but you’ll be able to look around and find at least one other person on the same channel (colour) as you, and for a moment, you’re bobbing to the same beat together with a stranger – or are they friends you just haven’t met yet?
We are asking for requests from the public as to what songs go on the three channels. We’re planning for a rock channel, a pop channel, and an “oldies and youngies” channel (which will likely be an eclectic mix of Baby Shark, Disney, Abba, and Journey). However, we will cater to your taste! If the public wants a channel dedicated to “Rick Astley”, then that is what the public will get.
You can submit your requests online here.

We can’t wait to see you in Saltash at the Saltash Silent Discos and Activities!
