The recently announced Spring roadmap is, surprisingly, restriction-light for events. This is good news, with pilot events planned to run from the 12th of April, indoor events (up to 1,000 people or 50% of the venue capacity, whichever is lower) and outdoor events (up to 4,000 people, or 50% of the venue capacity) from the 17th of May, and hopefully all restrictions being lifted from the 21st of June.
Less promising is the outcome of the research into the pilot events, happening from 12th of April through to June. If the results of that research is not favourable, we might be stuck with no large-scale community events.
Many of the event committees we work with are cautiously optimistic, some moving dates of events to later in the year where there is less perceived risk of event cancellations, and some ploughing ahead hoping for the best.
We really do have our fingers crossed the four tests are passed and the roadmap comes to fruition! 🤞
We will be sending out emails to our mailing list as soon as we have more guidance from the majority of our 2021 events.
In the meantime, please do keep an eye on our social media for any event updates, or head over to our homepage to book onto events that are either going ahead as planned, or have no plans on cancelling.
